新竹市長高虹安上午召開記者會宣布，不再爭取新竹棒球場舉辦WBC熱身賽，因為會勘後發現有多達152項缺失，不只排水差，淺層土壤還有超過3公分的石頭、磚塊和廢棄電線，短時間內難以改善。目前檢調針對球場已經立案調查，高虹安也說會配合調查，擔起改善和訴訟的責任。https://news.cts.com.tw/cts/local/202301/202301052128790.html
