気温４５度、過酷な環境でのインフラ整備＝南スーダン、自衛隊ＰＫＯ

2005年まで20年以上に及んだスーダン内戦で約200万人が犠牲になった末、昨年7月にアフリカ54番目の国家とした独立を果たした南スーダン。国連平和維持活動（PKO）に参加する陸上自衛隊の施設隊員の主力約120人が2/20に現地入り。45度前後の酷暑やマラリア蚊が飛び交う過酷な環境下、４月開始予定の道路工事などのインフラ整備に向けた活動を本格化させている。
