探訪　干潟の表情 変幻自在 新舞子海岸

天気がいいと淡路島が望める新舞子海岸には揖保川がはき出した土砂でできた遠浅の砂浜が広がる。大潮の干潮時には300ｍ以上沖合いまで潮が引き、全国有数の広大な干潟が出現する。から初夏にかけての大潮の日は日中に潮が引く。現れるのは絶好の潮干狩りスポット。アサリ、ハマグリ、マテガイなどを目当てに多い日には6000人以上が訪れる
