DISCOVERY: WW1 submarine found off Crimea coast
Russian researchers aboard the rescue vessel APRON found the wreck of a submarine that was sunk some 95 years ago off the coast of Sevastopol after serving the Black Sea Fleet during World War I. Experts found the submarine some 80 metres (262 feet) below the ocean. The vessel is believed to have been briefly subsumed into the Ukrainian Navy in 1918, before being scuttled in April 1919.
