Flooded roads and drainage ditches prove hazardous

The disaster reached northern Taiwan today. Two deaths and a missing person were reported in Xinzhuang and Taoyuan. During a heavy downpour a man in his 70s and a female companion in Taoyuan ended up in a drainage ditch beside the road. The male died and the woman has not yet been found.
