Cosmic Curiosity: Is Mars still on our minds?

NASA's 'Curiosity' rover has begun work on planet Mars, preparing to zap a small rock with a laser to examine its chemical composition. The car-sized vehicle has ten different tools to study the Red Planet, one of which was developed in Russia.
