2010年に劇場公開され、男女逆転の世界が話題となった映画『大奥』から2年、［連続TVドラマ＋映画］という続篇プロジェクトが帰ってきた。TBS金曜ドラマ「大奥〜誕生［有功・家光篇］」は10月から放送中、そして映画『大奥〜永遠〜［右衛門佐・綱吉篇］』が、12月22日から全国公開となる。
