北アフリカのスーダンから独立したばかりの「南スーダン共和国」で内戦が勃発！ PKO国際平和協力部隊として、南スーダンに派遣されていた韓国軍（工兵部隊） から自衛隊のPKO部隊に「銃弾提供」の要請。 日本政府は12月23日、国家安全保障会議を招集し、「韓国軍」への銃弾１万発の 提供を決定した。
