原子力空母「ジョージ・ワシントン」搭乗＝ドック型揚陸艦も公開

沖縄周辺海域などで実施している海上自衛隊と米海軍の共同演習で、米海軍は１、２の両日、演習に参加する揚陸艦や原子力空母「ジョージ・ワシントン」の訓練風景を報道陣に公開した。　同演習は毎年実施しているもので、今年は日米合わせて艦艇約４５隻、航空機約１３０機などが参加。九州や沖縄の周辺海域で１０月２７日～１１月４日、対潜・対空戦などの訓練を行っている。
